National Night Out
The Port Jervis Area National Night Out Against Crime Committee and the Port Jervis City Police Department, in partnership with the Port Jervis City School District, are pleased to announce the 2026 National Night Out celebration.
Last year’s event welcomed more than three thousand attendees and over sixty community-based organizations from across the Tri-State region. On behalf of the entire committee, we would be honored to have you join us for this year’s celebration.
National Night Out is a nationwide initiative designed to:
• Increase awareness of crime and drug prevention
• Strengthen community participation in local anti-crime efforts
• Foster neighborhood spirit and positive police–community relationships
• Send a clear message that our neighborhoods are organized, engaged, and committed to safety
This event celebrates our community’s dedication to improving the quality of life for all residents - especially our youth - by encouraging positive and healthy lifestyles. Achieving this goal requires strong partnerships among community members, local health and human service agencies, faith-based groups, businesses, schools, civic organizations, and emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS). Crime, drug abuse, and disorder affect us all, and together we can address the needs of our community. We are united, we are strong, and we are committed to making the Tri-State area a safe and healthy place to live and raise our families.
National Night Out continues to be an effective, low-cost, and enjoyable family-oriented event that builds neighborhood spirit and community partnerships all year long. This year’s celebration will feature food, music, and interactive activities provided by a wide array of community organizations - all working together to promote safety and connection in our community.
